What is the Futures Alliance?

Futures Alliance is a component of the Canadian Coalition of Apostolic Leaders (CCAL) initiated to generationally perpetuate the Apostolic Movement in Canada. The vision is to connect, equip, and mentor future Ephesians 4:11 leadership for the church and marketplace.

History

The Canadian Coalition realized the importance of thinking multi generationally, with a vision to connect the generations so that the Apostolic Movement in Canada would experience exponential growth and maturity over the next decade. This has resulted in the formation of Futures Alliance Canada as a life-giving component of the CCAL.

Futures Alliance Canada had its beginnings in 2018 when the CCAL Leadership empowered Kenn Gill and Michael Sitko to participate in the USCAL Bridge Summits in Dallas, Texas with a view towards building a Canadian expression of Futures Alliance USA. Over the next two years Kenn and Michael met with Joseph Mattera, Ned Maraman and Andrew Moman three of the founders of Futures Alliance USA as well as many other leaders exploring and learning from them. Following our research phase, we began to lay out an organic framework for Futures Alliance Canada.

In March of 2020 Kenn Gill and Mike Sitko met with three next generation leaders for an ad hoc meeting with a view towards creating a Future’s Alliance executive to act as a steering council. The five leaders were very enthused about the prospect of this Alliance. To facilitate forward movement, the steering council prayerfully considered and identified dozens of emerging leaders within our target demographic from across Canada who would, with the council, initiate our new beginnings.

In September of 2020 the initiative was launched hosting National & International Apostolic leaders from around the world infusing their wisdom and experience into the young leaders assembled during our monthly ZOOM calls. Our long term goal is to eventually launch an in person initiative by way of an annual conference, the Bridge Summit /Gathering for the purpose of networking, cross pollination, and the deepening of relationships between seasoned and younger leaders.

In November of 2021, we added to the team Teresa Webber, wife of founding member Peter Webber after his sudden passing.

Kenn Gill

Kenn & Cheryl Gill have been serving in active ministry since 1973 and their passion 'out of the gate’ was to see the five post- resurrection ministry gifts of Ephesians 4:11 fully restored to a highly functioning New Testament apostolic enterprise.

It has been their honor to serve in kingdom enlargement and expansion as they have sought to fulfill Acts 1:8 as a purposeful Mission Empowered Witness Strategy [MEWS] given by Jesus to His Church for kingdom advancement on the earth.

Their ministry passion was cultivated from Luke 19:10 to harvest lost people, redeem culture, disciple and equip those won to Christ and effectively mobilize His body to active cultural engagement both locally and globally through schools of leadership training, intercession, discipleship, day, mission, schools of the Apostolic and the planting of missional churches.

From their ministry settings their Proverbs 31:8,9 voice of compassion has been lifted globally as a 'Voice to the Voiceless’ to ‘speak up on behalf of those who do not have a voice’ [POWRP] the poor, the orphan, the widow, the refugee, the prisoner, the unborn, the homeless and the disenfranchised in fulfillment of Isaiah's directive as recorded Chapter 58:6-8 and Solomon’s wisdom of Proverbs 6:16-19.

Their C.O.R.E. passion is to Advance the Cause of Christ in the earth as Kingdom Sons. They have trained and mobilized scores of ministry teams to scores of nations and they long to see the restoration of an Apostolic Christianity in the earth.

They have been married for 48 years. They have four children, seven grandchildren and presently reside in the city of Calgary that serves as a base of operations for Ripple Effect Ministries. They see themselves as Kingdom Investors with an objective to influence the building of 21st Century Houses of Mercy, locally and globally.

The 'joy of the Lord' is the strength of their lives.

Michael Sitko

Michael Sitko began his career as a police officer after he graduated in 1998 with his diploma in Criminology. In 2004 after a dramatic encounter with the Lord, Michael and his wife Somerset were launched into ministry serving in various ministry leadership capacities by their local church.

From 2006 until 2016, Michael served at his home church of Bethel Christian Assembly on staff as a member of the Pastoral team giving oversight & direction to Bethel’s Equipping Ministries. Since leaving the RCMP in addition to his ministry duties within Bethel, Michael has also been involved in the establishment of several businesses as well as serving the City of Brandon as a Real Estate Agent with Royal LePage Martin Liberty Realty, where he is actively engaged in the business community.

In 2016 Michael & Somerset resigned from their role on staff with Bethel Church to plant Legacy 728 International, a church planting and discipleship network of ministries serving both within the local church in Canada and in the marketplace serving business leaders.

They also serve on the leadership team of Ripple Effect Ministries where they serve in a support capacity to the Network.

Teresa Webber

Teresa and her husband Peter, together with their five children, have made Canada their home in 2006. They first felt God stirring their hearts for the people and nation of Canada in 2004. Married in October 2003, this couple has served and ministered since 1998 in a large kingdom apostolic and family based church in Jeffrey's Bay, South Africa.

This couple has been part of leadership teams within the church for over 20 years and having served as elders, have a clear understanding of church government and divine order.

They have together led many mentoring, discipleship and other small groups where relationships have formed the basis for activity. They are firmly rooted and grounded in their sonship with their heavenly Father and continue to walk that out with their oversight in Church of the Nations and they have come to value and cherish this life-filled relationship in the kingdom.

They love to champion the cause of the local and victorious church and are given to equipping and raising up sons and daughters with an emphasis on leadership development and training.

Teresa lost her husband, Peter, in August 2021 and continues to lead the local church with a team of elders.
